We have 14' and 16' Lund boats with new 15HP Mercury Motors

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR?
We have our own private lot on the mainland.

DO YOU PERMIT PETS?
We love pets and have one of our own - you'll love our dog, Luke. However we do ask that you not bring your pets to the lodge.

IS LIVE BAIT AVAILABLE?
Yes

CAN I DO MY OWN COOKING?
No, we are totally on the American Plan. We provide 3 meals daily - you won't go hungry.

WHAT ABOUT SPECIAL DIETS?
Just let us know when you book - we provide special diets for those with religious or health requirements.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN CASE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?
There is a medical "Care Flight" that is available to the island. In case of serious medical emergencies, Sudbury is a short flight away and they have a large well-staffed hospital ready to deal with any emergency.

WHAT KINDS OF TACKLE DO YOU SUGGEST?
Very basic-6# to 10# test line, spinning and bait casting rods, crank baits, spinners, plastic worms and jigs. (Fly fishing becomes more popular every year.)

ARE GUIDES AVAILABLE?
Yes, we have expert guides available that are extremely knowledgeable and the know the area above and below the water. We recommend that you book them in advance.

DO YOU HAVE FISH CLEANING/FREEZING FACILITIES?
Yes, and we'll be glad to prepare your "trophy" for its trip to the taxidermist.

WHEN IS BLACK FLY SEASON?
In a normal year it's late May to the third week of June. (Great fishing but come prepared).

WILL YOU SUPPLY A REFERENCE LIST?
Definitely. Just drop us a line.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO BESIDES FISH?
RELAX, read, hike, canoe, swim, kayak, bike, enjoy a fish fry and marshmallow roast, take a canoe and explore the shoreline - perhaps you'll see an eagle or a loon raising its family of chicks.

ARE THERE ANY NEARBY PLACES OF INTEREST?
Pottery Shops, golf course, bee keeping farm, museums, and Nickel Mine tour are within an hour's drive.

ARE THERE TV'S IN THE COTTAGES?
No, but we have one in the main lodge which you are welcome to watch. Here you can also meet and socialize with other guests.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST AIRPORT?
Toronto, Sudbury, or North Bay all have commercial airports.
