The trip to Whip-poor-will Lodge is a pleasant one and you'll be driving through some of the prettiest country in North America.
From Toronto, travel north on Hwy 400 to Parry Sound. Hwy 400 becomes Hwy 69 at Parry Sound. Travel north until you reach Hwy 522. You must phone at this point to arrange for a pickup (705-757-3315). Use your cell phone or the pay phone at Grundy Supply Post. (NOTE: you will lose cell phone service once you leave Hwy 69). Turn right (east) and proceed until you reach Smith Bay Road. Turn left (north) and keep going until you reach our parking lot. We'll be waiting there with our pontoon boat to pick you up.
From Sudbury, travel south on Hwy 69 until you reach Hwy 522. Continue as above from this point.
From North Bay, travel south on Hwy 11 for about 30 minutes until you reach Hwy 522 (Trout Creek). Turn right (west) onto Hwy 522 until you reach the town of Port Loring. You must phone at this point from a pay phone for a pickup (705-757-3315) (NOTE: Cell phones don't work past Trout Creek). Continue until you reach Smith Bay Road. If you reach Hwy 69, you've gone too far. Turn right (north) onto Smith Bay Road and keep going until you reach our parking lot. We'll be waiting there with our pontoon boat to pick you up.
